Below the water line is the only high-compression molded hull in its class, pressed to exact dimensions.  The performance hull comes with high-performance sponsons that create an exciting, confident ride. In addition, the compression-molded process allows Yamaha to manufacture the hull material in black, which reduces unsightly scratches from beaching.
